Community Hub Manager

We are seeking experienced and reliable candidates who are willing to go the extra mile to support our Clients in the community.

Job Role

Harrogate Neighbours is at the heart of the local community, and we are excited that we are opening a community hub on the high street in Starbeck.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hub manager with natural confidence and leadership skills, and a passion to build on something special.  As champion for our customer experience, the manager will support the volunteers to provide exceptional service, a welcoming and friendly hub for local people of all ages to find help if they need it. It will create a safe space that is accessible to all giving them a reason to come and we would be bringing people together to build strong relationships in and across the local community.

Hours: Full Time Hours 
Salary: £24,000 A year
Start Date: Immediately

 

The key things it will bring is;

Visibility – the high street has a lot of foot traffic and the cars queuing in the rush hour traffic as well as queuing from the train crossing.  It will give us exposure to the local community and enable us to sign post our services that are at the end of Station View.

Accessibility – being located on the high street makes it easier for the community to access the hub increasing the likelihood of engagement.

Community Engagement – a physical presence on the high street can help foster a sense of community and potential encourage interaction between residents and Harrogate Neighbour’s

Supporting the local economy – we will of course be contributing to the local economy, which is a good initiative for Harrogate Neighbours

Networking Opportunities – being part of the high street community opens opportunities for networking with other local businesses and organisations.

Applicants should have experience of providing specialist advice in benefits and housing, possess effective communication skills. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.
