Our meals on wheels delivery service is based in Harrogate and delivers freshly cooked, hot, healthy meals to your front door. All our meals on wheels are prepared from fresh ingredients in our kitchen, and our catering team are dedicated to creating a variety of nutritious and filling meals.
Delivered by our 'Food Angels', each meal comes packed in a microwavable container, meaning they can be eaten then or later in the day.
Our 'Food Angels' are volunteers that are trained to ensure our customers are feeling well. Each volunteer is DBS checked and are able to provide excellent company to the customers on their rounds. Our service provides peace of mind for family members, because if you can't always be there, we can.

- Enquire by filling out the form below, and our Meals on Wheels co-ordinator will reach out to you to discuss how everything works.
- After a friendly chat, we will send out 2 menus, our info sheet and a contract via email or post, which explains how it all works.
- When you get the documents, have a look through and decide what you would like to eat, sign the contract, and send them back.
- Once we receive the menu and signed contract back, we can start delivering meals in a few days.

Our service
We established our Meals on Wheels service in 2012 when the closure of the council-run meals on wheels service left a real gap. We knew there was a huge local demand, and we wanted to respond accordingly.
Starting small, our service has grown and our team of dedicated volunteers now deliver over 100 homemade meals every day.
We say that our Meals on Wheels service is More Than Just a Meal. This is because we help to tackle isolation, depression and loneliness, which are extremely common for older people. Our volunteers provide much needed social contact. They are also trained to spot potential safety hazards and check on our clients’ well-being. Any concerns can then be mentioned to family members or the relevant health professionals.
Diet and nutrition are very important at any age, and in later years it’s even more important to eat well. Many older people become unable to prepare hot meals for themselves and this can have an adverse effect on their health. Our hot meal delivery service means that older people have a fresh, hot meal every day. We also use seasonal menus to make sure our customers enjoy variety and the best food we can offer.

Question: How much do meals cost?
Answer: A main meal costs £6.10, and a pudding costs £2.00. You can see the full breakdown of all options for meals here.
Question: What time of day do you deliver?
Answer: We aim to deliver between 11.30 am and 12.30pm, but occasionally traffic issues mean we deliver later than this.
Question: Can the food be heated up to eat later?
Answer: Absolutely! Our food is packaged to retain as much heat as possible, but in the event that it is not warm enough when delivered, or the customer wants to eat later, all our food can be microwaved easily.
Question: What food options are there?
Answer: Food options rotate on a 4 week basis, with 3 choices each day, so our customers have a choice of lots of different food to eat.
