At Harrogate Neighbours, our community is at the heart of everything we do.
To ensure we maintain the highest standard of support, the Community Hub will
temporarily close for the remainder of August.
This short pause is due to recent staffing changes, including team departures and planned leave. Taking this brief break allows us to regroup, recruit, and prepare for an exciting return.
Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure the Hub reopens as planned in September!
Behind the scenes, we’re actively using this time to build a stronger service, including ensuring at least two dedicated staff members are on-site every day when we reopen, offering more individual support in a vibrant environment.
Looking for support during August?
Wonderful local alternatives are open across our area:
Starbeck: Starbeck Library & Community Centre and St Andrew’s Church coffee mornings.
Harrogate: Harrogate Community House, Harrogate Library, and the HADCA 'Where to Turn' directory.
Knaresborough: Chain Lane Community Hub and Knaresborough Library.
Thank you so much for your patience and ongoing support. We are working hard behind the scenes and can’t wait to welcome you back in September!

Welcome to the Hub!

Established in 2024, The Harrogate Neighbours Community Hub is a place where you can pop in and say hello, have a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and ask for any help you may need.

The Hub has 8 tables in a small café area, a community larder, activities to enjoy and a local noticeboard showcasing what's on!

Since we opened, the Hub has become a space for friends to meet up and enjoy each others company in a welcoming and happy environment.

Our main purposes are to help tackle isolation in over 55's, and to help people find out what they need to know. We do this by collecting a range of local information within the space, as well as hosting guest speakers, holding events, running drop in sessions and more.

Fancy a brew?

As well as being a nice spot to meet friends, we will signpost people to local charities, services and opportunities available to them, to ensure that when help is needed, we find the answers.

One of the best things about the hub is our affordable café. Because the hub is a space for everyone, we did not want money to ever be a dividing factor. For this reason, our modest café runs on a 'pay what you feel' system, where we ask you to make a donation rather than a payment. Of course, you are also welcome to come and eat and drink without paying at all.

The Hub can be found at 16 High Street, Starbeck, Harrogate, HG2 7HY, and is normally open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10am and 4pm.

What's on @ the Hub?
