This year, Harrogate Neighbours has gone BIG on celebrating Meals on Wheels week. We wanted to showcase just how important our meals were to the local area, so with some help from a few local companies (thank you to Transdev, Lucy's pop choir, Verity Frearson and the Yorkshire hotel, we got out there! Decorating a double decker bus with our branding and holding up a huge flag, we set off from Starbeck to go and drive around Harrogate!
Driving around Harrogate with the wind in our hair, we were able to drum up interest in our services, which are becoming so crucial now. More and more older people in our area need support, and our meals on wheels service is a fantastic way for them to get the help they need. Lucy's pop choir even got on and drove around singing their hearts out!
We then parked up outside the Yorkshire Hotel where we got off to give away some Afternoon tea boxes and speak to local people about the services we provided. We met lots of new people who all learned about what we do.
It was a fantastic day out for the team, and a wonderful way of getting our name out into the community!
