Harrogate Theatre teamed up with the Community Hub to bring a wonderfully entertaining talk to the Starbeck community last night. 

Hannah Draper, Director of Creative Engagement for Harrogate Theatre, took the audience through a historical who's who of the theatre we all love. The audience learned about the original owners, how the theatre used to be designed and presented, as well as being scared by the tale of the theatre ghost, who announces herself through the spoooooky smell of....peppermint!

After we learned about the history of the building, Hannah told us about all the famous faces that have graced the famous stage, as well as getting some top tips on rising stars in the area.

After the talk, Hannah showed off some of the costumes the Pantomime actors would wear, and a few of our residents even tried them on, to much laughter and delight!

The event was completely free to enter, hosted by the new Community Hub and delivered by Harrogate Theatre.
