There is only one place in the world where the Honey Monster, Churchill the Dog, and Captain Birdseye compete to beat each other around a race course. That place is Knaresborough, where each year 90 teams compete to race around the town and get the fastest time possible. as well as speed, the day focusses on fun, and the teams are responsible for dressing their beds to take part in a big parade at the start of the day.

This year, Harrogate Neighbours took part for the first time, and we were having a blast! The theme this year was Famous Adverts, so we decorated our bed with various different Kellogg's cereals and dressed up as different cereal characters and boxes!

We showed off our bed and then took part in the parade, which saw all 90 decorated beds walking through Knaresborough to the delight of the crowds!

Then it was on to the race! 
The team has been training hard for this moment, and they did not disappoint. The gruelling course is known for it's difficult hill, it's dramatic straights and of course, the final river crossing! 

The team finished with a time of 23 minutes and 19 seconds, placing them 74th out of 90. While this may not be a top 10 time, the team were very proud of their efforts, and are already prepping for next year!
